Domino’s has delighted fans by launching two new milkshakes in time for warm summer days.

New Lotus Biscoff and Oreo milkshakes will combine the biscuit flavours with vanilla milkshake, following a successful trial of three other shakes, Strawberry, Vanilla and Chocolate.

All five shakes will be available at 36 stores across the UK this summer, while two new flavours Hot and Cheesy wrap flavours are also launching at selected outlets.

Domino’s director of innovation, Louise Pilkingon, said the shakes would be a perfect ‘ice-cold indulgent treat’.

The super-sweet biscuit, which can be dipped in a spread, has now been made into a milkshake

She added: ‘We’re really excited about our Oreo and Lotus Biscoff flavours and can’t wait to hear what our customers think, and which one comes out on top.’

As well as the shakes, Domino’s will also be trialling new flavours of the Hot and Cheesy wraps, which are a lunch option.

Two new flavours of the Hot and Cheesy wraps will launch in 28 stores across the UK.

The Ham & Cheese and Tuna Melt wraps will join the existing roster of flavours, and will available until September.

Louise added: ‘Our Hot & Cheesy wraps are a great lunch option, and combine the best Domino’s flavours, including our 100 per cent fresh Mozzarella, and our delicious toppings.’

The Lotus Biscoff milkshake contains the small crunchy caramel cookie.

But while it may sound original, fans on TikTok have been making the concoction for years.

Some claim it just needs four ingredients – milk, vanilla ice-cream, Lotus Biscoff spread and Lotus Biscoff biscuits.

The company is launching some new hot and cheesy wraps over the summer in selected stores

It comes after McDonald’s fans were left devastated after they revealed menu changes which saw baked goods yanked off the menu.

The fast-food outlet is getting rid of its beloved apple fritters, blueberry muffins and cinnamon rolls this month.

A McDonald’s spokesman told CNN Business that the brand was ‘listening’ to customers and ‘adjusting’ its menu based on what foodies ‘crave’.

While the eatery has not confirmed the exact date the items will be discontinued, Brooklyn food blogger Markie Devo claims they will disappear by July 15.

The McDonald’s apple fritter, blueberry muffin and cinnamon rolls will be phased out

The three baked items were only launched in 2020.

And customers aren’t happy about the news, with one person sharing their frustration online, writing: ‘This is absolute insanity and I’m being totally serious.’

Out of the three bakery options, it appears the majority of customers were most disappointed about the blueberry muffin and apple fritter being scrapped.

One upset customer wrote: ‘I’m so upset. I really loved the blueberry muffin.’

Another added: ‘Blueberry muffins were delicious and I got a fresh cinnamon roll one morning. This is too bad.’

A third started grieving, writing: ‘I’m so sad. Loved the blueberry muffin.’

‘Blueberry muffin was actually fire. The crystallized sugar on top was gooood,’ a foodie wrote.

Other fans wrote ‘I love the Apple fritter’ and ‘That Apple fritter actually slapped.’

Foodies took to social media to vent about the baked goods coming to an end

One McDonald’s customer showed some love to the cinnamon roll.

‘Dang I did like their cinnamon rolls when I’m craving breakfast food after 10:30am,’ their comment read.

But it seems not everyone was a fan of the baked goods.

‘Last time I had the muffin it was smaller and had zero flavor,’ one person wrote.

Another added: ‘Who orders that stuff from McDonald’s anyway? It’s just their pies that are the best.’

A McDonald’s spokesman attempted to console the saddened foodies following the news.

‘We know goodbyes are never easy — but fans can still satisfy their sweet tooth with our iconic Chocolate Chip Cookies, Baked Apple Pie and frozen desserts at restaurants nationwide,’ the spokesman told Kron4.
