Actress, filmmaker, style icon; there’s not much Olivia Wilde can’t do, and her latest hair transformation shows there’s not much she can’t pull off, either.
The Don’t Worry Darling director showed off her latest style makeover in a fresh-faced Instagram snap on Tuesday as she posed in her bathroom in a simple white tank top and black tracksuit bottoms with the waistband rolled up.
In the photo, Olivia’s usual middle parting and waves have been replaced with a messy up do and a voluminous full fringe that suits the actress perfectly.
Her naturally wavy hair adds to the style, with face framing shorter layers blending into the sides of her new fringe in loose waves. Olivia shows how effortlessly she can nail a trend, with her thick new bangs styled into a subtle middle parting that pulls off the curtain bang trend perfectly.
Olivia, who was in a relationship with singer Harry Styles for almost two years before taking a break at the end of 2022, captioned the photo: “The 24 seconds in the morning before someone is screaming about wishing they were an only child.”
Olivia is a mum to two children, Otis, eight and Daisy, six, with whom she shares with ex-partner Jason Sudeikis.
Olivia’s fresh faced selfie shows that even A-list mums are a fan of a simple, casual day-to-day look, with her black tracksuit bottoms and messy up do perfect for running around after her children.
Different variations of the simple fringe are definitely one of the biggest hair trends right now, and the curtain bangs seem to be becoming one of the hottest hairstyles around the world right now, with everyone seemingly reaching for the scissors to get the effortlessly chic look.
Although we can’t quite pinpoint exactly why the style has taken off in such a big way, it does seem to be a pretty universally flattering cut and works well on a whole host of different hair types and textures.
Olivia’s signature style for years has been a sleek middle parting and a mid-length long bob, or ‘lob’, although she has experimented with a very subtle curtain bang before in the form of shorter face framing layers. However this is one of the actress’ first dalliance with a full fringe, and it looks so good, we’re left wondering what took her so long to do it.
