EastEnders Louisa Lyttons unexpected role in American Pie revealed

Louisa Lytton is best known for her role in EastEnders, where she plays ruthless gangster Johnny Allen's daughter Ruby.

But the 34 year old actress once had a very unexpected role in the the seventh instalment of the American Pie franchise.

In 2009, she had several scenes in the role of Imogen, a promiscuous British student, in American Pie Presents: The Book Of Love.

She starred alongside the franchises' regular stars including Eugene Levy, Bug Hall and John Patrick Jordan.

Her character has a much older boyfriend, Richard, who is never seen onscreen. Throughout the film, Stifler tries to hit on her with various dirty phrases, but she always has a quick retort for him.

However, when Stifler, is laid up injured after being assaulted by a moose, he offers his friendship to her.

She sits down next to him on a couch, before he put his arm around her and touches her breast. This doesn't go down well, however, and she chastises him and shooes his hand away.

In another scene, her on-screen persona crosses paths with main characters Lube and Nathan on a staircase and made fun of them with some traditional English banter.

In the scene, she wore a black outfit with a black hat and her hair down.

Louisa revealed she got the part after sending the producers of Book Of Love a tape of herself.

She told FHM: "I found out I’d got the part four weeks later, then three days after that I was on a plane.

"It was crazy. I think originally they wanted a Spanish exchange student, then they were going to make it Canadian, and then they said why don’t we try a Brit?

"Which was cool… for me. Hopefully there’s a new set of 17-year-old boys who will get into it."

Louisa first shot to fame on EastEnders in 2005, when she made her debut as Ruby.

After a year on-screen, the performer departed our screens, but returned once again in 2018.

Louisa has also branched out into the horror genre, starring in films such as Young, High and Dead and Fractured.

She also appeared on Strictly Come Dancing in 2006, making her the youngest celebrity to compete on the show at the age of 17.
