“SpongeBob SquarePants: The Musical” star Ethan Slater paid tribute to his wife just two months before news broke that he was romancing Ariana Grande.
The Tony nominee, who wed his high school sweetheart Lilly Jay in 2018, gushed over her in May while filming the upcoming “Wicked” movie in London.
“Happy first Mother’s Day to the most loving caring and wonderful mom/person in the world,” Slater, 31, captioned the Instagram post, which featured the shadow of their son, who was born last year.
“- from me and this little guy,” he added.
The carousel post also included a snap of their baby boy’s tiny hands.
Slater and Jay are currently separated, according to TMZ, which was the first to report his new relationship with Grande.
The “7 Rings” singer, 30, split from her estranged husband, Dalton Gomez, earlier this year.
She and Slater, who both have ties to popular Nickelodeon properties following her star-making turn in “Victorious,” have been dating for several months sources confirmed to Page Six Thursday.
Reps for both Grande and Slater have not returned our requests for comment.
The pair met on the set of Jon Chu’s adaptation of “Wicked,” in which Grande plays Glinda and Slater will take on the role of Boq.
A photo taken in March showed the cast celebrating their co-star Michelle Yeoh’s Oscar win in London.
The “God is a Woman” songstress sat close to the father of one, who wrapped his arm around her.
Slater previously celebrated his fourth wedding anniversary in November 2022.
“My best friend. 4 years married, 10 years together. And this is easily the best (and most *bizarre*) year yet,” he captioned a carousel of photos with Jay.
Grande, for her part, was married for less than two years when news of her divorce from Gomez broke.
She and the real estate agent decided to separate in January, sources confirmed to Page Six earlier this week.

“They came to the decision together,” an insider told us.
“They were having problems before January, but they want to remain best friends.”
Gomez, 27, visited the “Positions” hitmaker on the UK set of “Wicked” as a last-ditch attempt to save their marriage, but “it didn’t work out,” the source said.
“They’ve been really good friends throughout the entire process, and their friends and families have been trying to protect them.”
Nevertheless, the “Hairspray Live!” actress has since erased all traces of her wedding to Gomez from her Instagram, while he has reportedly been dating other people for “months.”
