Kim Kardashian’s daughters will someday have a ton of their mom’s designer hand-me-downs from which to choose – but her latest look may not be on their list.
While backstage at the Dolce & Gabbana show during Milan Fashion Week over the weekend, the 42-year-old Skims founder spoke to Vogue about her red bedazzled bra top and skirt for the occasion, which she helped design.
“[This look will] go in my Dolce & Gabbana archive that I hope my kids want to wear one day. I hope North and Chicago … they can wear this to prom, they can wear this to a formal dance at school, they can wear it to whatever they want,” she said in a TikTok posted by the mag.
Fans were aghast at the suggestion of Kardashian’s daughters considering such a sexy look for a school dance.
“To PROM?! In what universe?!” one person commented. A second simply wrote, “Side eye.”
Another figured that Kardashian’s eldest child would be horrified by the suggestion, writing, “Lol North is not interested in dressing anything like Kim.”
However, some thought her daughters would look great in the sparkly (albeit skin-baring) style, with one writing, “North will be prom queen!”
Kardashian went on to clarify that she doesn’t care where her children rock her designer duds: “They can wear it on a night out clubbing — I’m not going to be stingy with my Dolce archive.”
While their partying days may be many years in the future, the Skkn by Kim founder knows exactly what 9-year-old North and 5-year-old Chicago will want to wear right now.
“I know that my girls will try to steal this purse and I have different versions of it … There’s always little gifts and I can go home with them and look like the best mom ever,” she said.
While her children are always decked out in pricey clothing and accessories, Kardashian previously earmarked another sparkling look for North’s future prom. In 2018, the mom of four told Ashley Graham on the model’s podcast that she has all of her past Met Gala gowns in storage, and that North already requested to borrow her gold Versace dress from that year’s ball.
We have a feeling when the time comes, North will put her own twist on whatever look she chooses.
