Love Island'sGemma Owenfinallyspoke about her famous footballing father Michael Owenon Thursday's episode after weeks of keeping his identity under wraps and sent fans into a frenzy as she did.
Fans went wild when she finally made the admission as the hiding of his identity caused many grumblings on social media, despite dumped Islander Ikenna Ekwonna sayingcontestants were aware of her dad from the "second or third day".
During a conversation with fellow IslandersAntigoni BuxtonandEkin-Su Cülcüloğluthe international dressage star, 19, revealed that she also has a close connection to the Beckham family.
During the episode, Antigoni asked: "Sorry, excuse me if I'm being ignorant, but is your dad like very very well-known? He played for England, right?" to which Gemma replied: "Yeah."
Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu later asked: "Do you like David Beckham's sons?" to which Gemma responded: "Well, I went to nursery with his sons, yeah."
The villa were left stunned at the discovery as they asked: "Did you?" with Gemma adding: "Yeah!"
It's likely that Gemma and the Beckham children crossed paths at nursery whenher fatherplayed for Real Madrid between 2004 to 2005.
David Beckhamwas also at the club between 2003 to 2007 and his sonRomeois 19, which is the same age as Gemma.
While his eldestBrooklynis 23 so it could be possible that the two Beckham boys attended school at the same time as Gemma.
Meanwhile Gemma andLuca Bishshared an intimate moment in the Hideaway, as theyadmitted love could be on the cards for them .
Gemma’s romance with the fishmonger has continued to blossom on the show and the pair were finally able to explore their passions further as they won some time to themselves away from the rest of the Islanders.
The Islanders were surprised with a hideaway invitation, when a text was sent viaJay Youngerat the fire pit, which read: “Islanders, the hideaway is open tonight. Please choose a lucky couple to spend the night alone. #qualitytime #hideabae.”
As the pair cuddled in the Hideaway after the lights went off, Gemma and Luca's casual conversation soon took an emotional turn as they talked about love.
“Do you want a stupid question before we go to sleep?” Luca asked Gemma, before asking:
“White bread or brown bread?”
Gemma said she prefers white bread before the chat then turns serious. Luca asked: “Do you see yourself falling in love with me?”
Gemma then replied: “From what I’ve seen so far, I don’t see why I wouldn’t.”
Luca responded: “Same goes for you, I do”.
