Gerard Pique has been on the receiving end of significant backlash since it was alleged that he cheated on his long-term partner, Shakira, leading to their split. However, the soccer star hasn’t been shy from making lavish gestures for his new girlfriend, Clara Chia.
According to reports, Gerard recently flew Clara out to the United Arab Emirates to celebrate her 24th birthday. The athlete reportedly has a lavish trip planned for his new girlfriend.

Afterwards, he reportedly plans to fly to Miami, where his two sons are living with their mother, Shakira. She recently relocated there with the kids after living many years full-time in Barcelona, Spain. Gerard will apparently stay there for a little under two weeks to visit.
Shakira announced her plans to move out of Barcelona earlier this month. “I settled in Barcelona to give my children a stability, the same we are now looking for in another corner of the world next to family, friends and the sea,” she wrote on Instagram alongside a photo of the Spanish city.
“Today we start a new chapter in the pursuit of their happiness. Thank you to everyone who surfed alongside my many waves there in Barcelona, the city where I learned that friendship is certainly longer than love,” the singer continued.
Shakira has owned a handful of properties in Miami prior to her move. She bought a 2,700 square foot mansion on La Gorce Island in 2001, before selling it in 2005 for $1.5 million.
She also bough tan 8,000 square foot mansion in Miami Beach in 2001, which features 6 bedrooms, 8 bathrooms, and an outdoor pool. Though Shakira has put the property on the market several times before, she still owns it and it’s speculated she and her sons may be living full-time in the home currently.

It’s unclear what’s happening to the properties Shakira and Gerard jointly owned together during their decade-long relationship. The former couple have a house in Barcelona, valued at $5.9 million, which features 7 bedrooms, 2 kitchens, a pool, and a gym.
The parents-of-two also purchased a vacation home on Cyprus island in the Mediterranean sea in 2019, which has lavish amenities like a jacuzzi, gym, pool, and wine cellar. It has 6 bedrooms and 8 bathrooms in total.
Shakira’s other properties include a farm in Uruguay with 12 acres of land plus a main house with 4 bedrooms, a home theatre, and a gym. It also comes with a sauna, tennis court, pool, and a lake with a boat dock. The singer also bought a private island in the Bahamas for $15 million.
Needless to say, even if Miami doesn’t work out, Shakira has many other options of places where she can easily relocate (or just go to for a vacation).
