10 years ago,Gogglebox made a splash in the TV industry by showing viewers at home other viewers at home watching TV. Despite being somewhat of a bizarre concept on paper, the show has proved successful and has won numerous awards at shows including the BAFTAs and the NTAs.
Much of Gogglebox’s charm lies in the familiar faces who sit down to watch TV every night. FromJenny and Lee toGiles and Mary, the Gogglebox family are more than relatable to people at home.
But while viewers may resonate with the stars of the show, it turns out that some have rather A-list backgrounds, or have since gone on to have them, with several cast members having celebrity links. With that in mind, let’s take a look at some of Gogglebox’s celeb connections…
Sandi Bogle
Between 2013 and 2016, friends Sandi Bogle and Sandra Martin entertained viewers on the cast of Gogglebox. However, the pair left the show after three years when Sandi appeared on Celebrity Big Brother in 2017.
It was while in the CBB house that she revealed her celebrity connection, telling her housemates that she had a supermodel cousin in the form of Naomi Campbell. “Naomi is my cousin, her mother is related to my mother, so yeah, family,” she said.
Pete and Sophie Sandiford
Brother and sister duo Pete and Sophie Sandiford are known for their quick witty remarks, but it turns out that they’re not the only comedians in their family. In fact, the pair are related to TV icons Paul and the late Barry Chuckle, better known as The Chuckle Brothers.
Sharing a snap with Sophie and Pete on Twitter in 2019, Paul wrote next to it: “This day 2018 with my great niece and nephew @PeteandSophie #Gogglebox,” causing fans of the duo to express their surprise at their familial relations.
Scarlett Moffatt

Reverend Kate Bottley
Like Scarlett, Reverend Kate Bottley has become somewhat of a household name since leaving the show.
