The Goop founder, 50, shared a series of behind-the-scenes Instagram photos to celebrate longtime stylist Elizabeth Saltzman’s birthday Friday — including one of herself in sultry shapewear.
In the image, Paltrow snaps a mirror selfie (presumably while prepping for an event), wearing only a black strapless bra and high-waisted shaping briefs.
The “Shakespeare in Love” star also shared a shot of one of her most iconic red carpet looks — the white caped Tom Ford gown she wore to the 2012 Oscars — along with a pair of sweet selfies with Saltzman.
“Happy birthday to this legend, crazy pants genius @elizabethsaltzman,” Paltrow wrote atop the pics, which she shared on her Stories.
“I can’t step on a carpet without you.”
Indeed, Saltzman is the mastermind behind many of the Oscar winner’s most memorable fashion moments from the past two decades — and the undergarments worn beneath to help them look their best.
“Commando does an excellent bodysuit and I love their thongs,” Saltzman told Grazia last year of her favorite brands. “We use Wolford for tights and then there are times when you need Spanx.”
The fashion pro’s other A-list clients include Sandra Oh, Jodie Comer, Saoirse Ronan and Julia Garner.
Saltzman started working with Paltrow in 2002, shortly after the Oscar winner attended that year’s Oscars in a controversial semi-sheer Alexander McQueen look; incidentally, the actress’ 18-year-old daughter, Apple, tried on the infamous outfit earlier this very week.
Illustrating the importance of proper red carpet underthings, Paltrow has admitted she “should have worn a bra” with the Goth gown.
Good thing Saltzman’s got her covered.
