H&M has worked with an amazing roster of designers over the years, from Maison Martin Margiela to Moschino – and now, Mugler.
The collaborative collection, launched today, features the French fashion house’s distinctive aesthetic, with menswear, womenswear and accessories designed by Mugler Creative Director Casey Cadwallader.
It gives shoppers the opportunity to get their hands on the brand’s signature hyperfeminine, architectural styles, but without the haute couture price tag.
Talks between the retailer and Manfred Thierry Mugler began before his passing in 2022, and the range is an homage to the late creative visionary, with the 80s power dressing silhouette he was so famed for as well as reimaginations of classic styles.
‘The collection is a celebration of everything that defines Mugler as a house, and each piece is authentic Mugler, from the bodysuits, which have become a signature of ours, to the sharp tailoring and worked denims,’ commented Casey Cadwallader. ‘It is a showcase of our icons.’
Rising stars Amaarae, Shygirl, Eartheater and Arca starred in a music video to celebrate the launch, and Kylie Jenner wore head-to-toe H&M x Mugler at last night’s LA launch party, so it’s safe to say it’s a hit.
In fact, the hype is so hyped that many products are already sold out online, as savvy shoppers try to get their hands on boxy blazers, mesh leggings and punky jewellery.
You’ll need to be quick if you want to snag a budget-friendly designer buy, although it’s worth checking your local H&M store for stock. Here are our favourite pieces from the high street retailer’s Mugler collab.
