Gender reassignment surgery is a hot topic at the moment, but few very people actually know what it’s like.
Trans adult star Emma Rose, though, knows exactly how it looks and feels having your wedding tackle chopped off – because she was awake throughout the procedure, with only local anaesthetic numbing her bits.
And now, in a no-holds barred interview, she's described her op in gory detail.

Emma told the Pillow Talk podcast that while she still currently has a penis, her testicles were surgically removed as part of her ongoing transition. “I was awake and I'm laying there,” she explained to shocked host Ryan Pownall, “they put a needle in each ball…then they put some lidocaine in there".
“I’m laying there and I didn’t feel anything,” Emma added, "but then you just feel tugging in the bottom of your groin area… it feels like your wires are being like snatched.
“And then I look down and it looked like cherry pie."
Emma said at this point she turned her head away and started retching.
“And at the doctor just looks up,” Emma said, “and he said ‘please do not throw up right now,’ and I said ‘I'm trying!’”

Then, she said, the surgeon put the testicles on a plate next to her.
Emma said people were "not legally allowed to keep your balls,” but that she was actually handed her disused equipment by a doctor she jokingly described as “shady”.
While it’s been suggested that the unwanted parts could have been donated to someone who had lost their junk in an accident, Emma opted to flush hers down the loo.

Despite being castrated, Emma added, she retains full use of her penis and can achieve erections with the aid of Viagra.
At one point in the interview she stood up and showed her modified tackle to Ryan and co-host Kirill Bichutsky
She hints that a number of top sportsmen and “a famous country singer” have been fascinated by her unconventional sexuality, but she discreetly declined to name any names.
