Galebe explained in her video that she had been doing gua sha for over a year while sharing photos of her face before (left) and after (right) she started the practice

Gua sha is a traditional Chinese healing method in which a smooth-edged tool is used to gently scrape areas of the skin to improve circulation.
The practice may help relieve tension in the face, reduce puffiness and inflammation, and reduce sinus pressure, according to the Cleveland Clinic.
Galebe explained in her video that she had been doing gua sha for over a year while sharing photos of her face before and after she started the practice.
Her face is noticeably rounder and puffier in the first snapshot compared to her chiseled appearance in the second, more recent picture.
‘I’m the same weight in both pictures, the only difference is that I have less inflammation and less water retention in my face,’ she noted.
Before grabbing her gua sha tool, she massaged areas around her neck, jaw, and nose with her fingers to ‘open up the lymph nodes.’
Galebe noted that this is a ‘super important’ step for ensuring the ‘body can properly drain the fluid.’
To continue her prep, she applied a facial oil to her face and neck.

She held up her product of choice to the camera, saying she is a fan of Beekman 1802 Oh! Mega Milk Fermented Barrier Boosting Facial Oil.
For her first movement, she used the angled part of the gua sha and moved it from her chin to the back of her jawline and then down her neck.
‘As you can see, I repeat every movement three times,’ she said.
When she was finished with her jawline, she took the flat side of the gua sha and scraped it from her chin to her cheekbone.
Galebe then scooped her skin upwards from her jawline all the way to her cheekbones before dragging the tool from the corner of her mouth to her temples.
She finished with her forehead before repeating the sequence on the other side of her face.

Galebe advised drinking water after to ‘help drain the fluid,’ saying, ‘If you do this consistently, you will see a massive difference’
‘Don’t forget to drink water to help drain the fluid,’ she concluded. ‘If you do this consistently, you will see a massive difference.’
Galebe’s video has been viewed more than 4.3 million times and has received nearly 1,000 comments since it was posted on July 17.
‘Thank you for sharing this. You can see the difference this has made to your face,’ one fan responded.
‘This works lol. I thought I was fat,’ another added. ‘I just have bad inflammation.’
‘No Botox or fillers at all?’ someone else asked.
Galebe responded to the question honestly, saying she didn’t have any Botox or fillers when she took her before-and-after photos, but she does now.
She also shared that she had a nose job after a viewer asked her about her slimmed-down nose in the second picture.
