‘I tried to touch up old Marilyn Monroe tattoo but it ended up like Tin Man’

A woman went to the tattoo parlour to get her decade-old Marilyn Monroe tattoo touched up – and left with it looking more like the Tin Man from the Wizard of Oz.

Breanna, who posts online as @weightlosscoachbre, gained more than 60,000 followers online from posting about her weight loss coaching.

But now, she's gone viral for her mortifying tattoo fail.

In the clip, which has gained more than 50,000 views and 1,400 likes, Breanna shared the artist's "botched" job.

She showed off the ink to her followers, explaining exactly what happened and asking them what she should do about it.

Breanna explained: "For anybody who has gotten a tattoo… Let me just start there. I need your opinion, okay? I’m going to insert the before."

She then showed fans what her tattoo looked like before she went in for her appointment.

At the time, she had a faded Marilyn outline on her thigh that featured the icon's long eyelashes and signature red lips.

Breanna added: “Now, I liked her, all I wanted was a touch-up.

"All I wanted was the lines cleaned up a little bit, her lips never took right so I wanted that touched up. We’re talking over 10 years ago so it’s time to touch Marilyn up.”

The weight loss coach went on to say that she’s not “into tattoos” any more – but likes maintaining the ones she does have.

Sadly, when she went in to get her "beautiful" tattoo touched up, it went wrong.

She lifted her shorts up a little to show a faint black hue over Marilyn’s face.

The TIkToker asked: "Who is that? Anybody know who that is? I mean seriously, I don’t know who that is.

“My question is to you… It’s been a good 10 years since I’ve gotten a tattoo. Is this just the new thing? Do we just make them look like that?

“I say this with the utmost respect, but I feel like she has been made into an African American Marilyn Monroe, which is totally fine. I think that’s awesome if anybody wanted to do that… I did not.

“Not anything personal, I just wanted the lines nicer, the fading fixed up a little bit, the lips cherry red. I liked that it was a floating portrait. Very simple, very subtle portrait that you could tell who it was. “What do I even do with that?"

TikTok users took to the comments to offer her their advice, with some comparing the new ink to movie characters.

One user wrote: “I’m so sorry that happened, definitely not what they’re doing now.”

Another joked: “It looks like the tin Man from Wizard of Oz."

A third quipped: “That’s Ursula”.

A fourth added: “I’d be running to get a removal… it’s ruined now, so sorry for you."
