A Hooters girl has lifted the lid on what it's really like working at the controversial chain – include customers "gawping" at her, and pressuring her into giving them her mobile number.
And while she says that the restaurant's commitment to 'making each visit special' doesn't always go down well with their female guests, who often feel "threatened" by servers, she has defended the chain.
Hooters, known for its wings and beers, and server's skimpy uniforms, now has 430 locations and franchises around the world, since opening its first restaurant in Clearwater, Florida, America, in 1983.

However, the restaurant has faced its fair share of criticism.
But it was this criticism that prompted one Hooters server to reveal what it's really like working at the restaurant.
Taking to Reddit, the woman explained how she has worked at a Hooters in Jacksonville and Daytona while studying at college.
She says the flexible hours made her apply for a job, knowing she'd be able to take time off during exam season.

However, it isn't always plain sailing and she said: "[Men give me their numbers] several times a day.
"Sometimes you get cornered into giving out your number, but then you can just ignore the texts/calls until they get the hint.
"I have perfected the passive-aggressive comebacks and let-downs when necessary."
She went on to explain how Hooters encourages its servers to "flirt" with customers to boost their tips – and even teaches them how to do this when they're going through training.
"We actually go through a 'renegade hospitality course' where they teach us how to market ourselves and create mutually beneficial relationships with customers," she added.
"There's no touching, no crude comments and if a girl feels uncomfortable, the manager will ask the guest to leave.
"There's a respectable way to compliment a person and a raunchy, unacceptable way.
"People of all ages can be creeps."
When asked if she gets nasty looks from other women, she said: "Absolutely, the best thing to do is pretty much ignore the guy and be as polite as possible to the girl.
"Sometimes girls come in trying to be the 'cool' girlfriend, but end up feeling threatened and uncomfortable, which is completely unwarranted."
But she says they're not the "worst" customers who come into Hooters, with teenage boys taking this crown instead.
She says most servers know teenagers only come into Hooters "for the view" – and don't want to spend any money or tip during their visit.
The worker also claims customers commonly believe its servers have to have "large breasts" to work at Hooters – but she says this simply isn't true.
"There's no minimum cup size – some of the girls are completely flat-chested while some are DDs. Relatively pretty is all that's required."
While working at Hooters has its negatives, the woman says she enjoys her job and likes meeting new people every time she is on shift.
She added: "My least favourite thing [about working at Hooters] is the stigma that goes along with the Hooters Girl title.
"I have no problem telling people where I work. Most people don't bat an eyelash. In the same breath I always mention that I'm also a student.
"I really do like being a Hooters girl, it's a great company to work for and I love the people I work with."
In a recent interview with the Daily Star, Hooters girl Liana Pirraglia said she has been working at the chain for two-and-a-half years while moonlighting as a model, singer and actress.
She admitted she had "negative expectations" before she started working at the Farmingdale branch, but needn't have worried as it turned out to be "super fun".
Liana said one grateful customer even asked her if she would like to be named as a beneficiary in his will.
