A woman was slammed on social media after posting a video complaining about how difficult it is to be an influencer.
In a now-deleted video, shared with 13 million followers on her TikTok, Mikayla Nogueira said being an influencer ‘isn’t easy’ and isn’t a job many can do.
Fans of the makeup guru have since branded her as ‘toxic’, ‘ignorant’, and ‘tone-deaf’ for the remarks.

According to Daily Mail, she said: “I literally just finished work and it's 5:19[pm].
“Try being an influencer for a day. Try it. Because the people who say it's easy are so far out of their minds. Try it for a day.
“Five to six hours filming video content that ranges from three to four videos and then I spend a few hours editing that video content'.
“Then I have to work on my other social media profiles, whatever it may be. It's f**king marketing. Then I'm in meetings from 12 pm to 5 pm,
“[Being an influencer] is not for everybody. In fact, it's for a very small handful of people who can actually do this job… You do not want to have this job, just saying.”
The 24-year-old from Boston, Massachusetts received fierce criticism from fans, and other influencers accused her of ‘lying’ about her excessive workload.

Model Wisdom Kaye, who has 8.6 million followers, commented: “Any influencer who tells you their job is hard is either lying or just straight-up lazy.”
Mr Kaye also said influencing was 'easy as s**t'.
“You get to wake up whenever you want, you get to work for as long as you want, you can clock in and clock out as you please, you have no boss, no co-workers, you have unlimited vacation days,” he explained.
“You decide how long your shift is, you get to decide everything about your job – you are literally your own boss.
“Anyone who says this job is hard probably lacks real self-awareness."

One follower added: “I'd love to try being an influencer for a day, Mikayla because while you're sitting in your $1 million house, lying to people about makeup, I work two jobs from 5 am to 9 pm just so I can afford rent and groceries.”
Ms Nogueira has since addressed the backlash in a nine-minute video, explaining the clip was posted more than a year ago when she was new to the career and 'having a s**t day'.
She said she soon regretted making the video, before deleting it and apologising.
