Budding musician Junior Andre followed in his father’s footsteps on Friday as he released a new single which topped the charts just a few hours after being released.
The 17 year old, who is the son of 90s heartthrob Peter Andre and former glamour model Katie Price, kicked off his music career with the release of his single Slide, which soared to No1 on the iTunes chart mere hours after it was released on the platform.
Outselling award winning artists such as Lady Gaga, Eminem and Harry Styles, the budding hitmaker quickly became a firm favourite with listeners who couldn’t get enough of the track’s catchy melody and laid back vibes that could very easily make it the must have anthem of the Summer.
Celebrating the launch of his debut track, Junior was joined by friends, family and fans for an exclusive party as he shared his musical talent with the world.
In a series of behind the scenes shots taken at the party and shared on Instagram, fans at home were treated to an inside glimpse of the single’s launch, only days after the young star behind the track turned 17 years old.
In the images and videos, hundreds of fans can be seen dancing and partying to the toe tapping track, before grinning from ear to ear as they were able to grab a quick snap with the star himself.
The budding musician, who had been encouraged by his famous dad in the recording studio, performed his latest track at a launch party to kick off his music career.
Alongside the star, Junior’s little sister Princess, 14, was also in attendance at the bash, which saw the musician serenade the crowds with a rendition of his new tune.
Eager to support the success of their children, both Peter and Katie both celebrated his success with their own social media posts, which included a nostalgic throwback for Peter who recalled his own debut 30 years ago.
Alongside a clip of Junior signing posters to accompany his new single, Peter Andre wrote: “30 years ago I was doing my first signings of posters.
“And now my son is hard at work. As for the girls… @officialjunior_andre @officialprincess_andre @dr_emily_official.”
Katie also shared her own message of support alongside the words “Proud of you” as she cheered on Junior’s rise to the top of the charts following the song’s initial release.
Dotted in among the fans at the launch, were also a few famous faces, with Junior himself sharing snap as he posed alongside Grime artist Big Narstie, who had come out to support the young performer.
Following the song’s release, several fans took to social media to express their support, with many praising his talent and decision to pursue his passion.
“Mate, keep humble and don’t ever change for fame or money. Just like your dad. Be real always,” commented one fan.
While another said: “Well done Junior this is something that u deserve ur dad and Emily have brought u up to be the best human.”
Before a third added: “I couldn't get this song out of my head in work all day..love it so catchy. ”
