C’mon, Barbie let’s go party!
Margot Robbie celebrated her 32nd birthday on July 2. along with the star-studded cast of Greta Gerwig’s upcoming “Barbie” film — which includes Ryan Gosling, Will Farrell, Kate McKinnon, Simu Liu and more. The Academy Award winner was presented with the cake of every little girls dreams — a hot pink Barbie doll cake with “Happy Birthday Barbie Margot!” written with light pink icing.
But that wasn’t the only sweet surprise for the actress, who was also seen carrying a box of donuts on set in between takes, along with a pointy party hat.
Robbie’s husband, British producer Tom Ackerley, also joined the cast on set to celebrate his wife’s big day.
Robbie was dressed as an ‘80’s roller-skating dream, wearing a white button up over her hot pink bike shorts and multicolored swirl-print leotard. The film’s bright pink color scheme has quickly become a trend for the summer, inspiring celebrities from Kim Kardashian to Megan Fox to live out their Barbie dreams.
The highly anticipated film depicts Barbie as a “fish out of water” and takes a twist to the traditional story of the beloved doll.
According to a plot synopsis by Deadline, “Barbie gets kicked out of Barbieland because she’s not perfect enough” and she “goes on an adventure” to save Barbieland only to realize “that the key to happiness is belief in oneself.”
Robbie took on the role as both actor and producer for the upcoming project, which began filming in Los Angeles in June. The actress has been seen rocking matching neon skates and platinum blonde haircuts with co-star Gosling, who’s playing opposite Robbie as “Ken” in the film.
Dynamic Duo
Gosling, 41, and Robbie were also snapped all dolled up in matching cowboy hats and pink bandanas around their necks. The actress rocked her signature bright pink hue from head to toe in a vest and bell-bottom pants covered in star appliqués. Meanwhile, “Ken” wore a black fringe-trimmed cowboy shirt, flared trousers and pointy-toed white boots.

Neon Ken
The “La La Land” actor rocked a sleeveless, neon vest, matching shorts, a hot pink muscle tank and a classic ’90’s yellow fanny pack.
“Barbie” is set to hit theaters on July 21, 2023.
