It’s official. After a ten year relationship, Line of Duty star Vicky McClure is now finally married!

The 40 year old star tied the knot with her long-term partner Jonny Owen on Friday (August 11) at an intimate ceremony in Nottingham, surrounded by their nearest and dearest friends and family.

The couple, who have been together for over a decade revealed the happy news live on Jonny’s daughter Katie’s radio show for Radio Wales, after the presenter had been forced off to rush off after the ceremony to make it back in time for her show.

After being introduced, Vicky excitedly told listeners at home: “We’re married!”

She then continued: “We’ve had the most amazing special day and we’re gutted you [had] to go back (to work) but we’re so proud of you. You’re missing lots of dancing but we can do that again.”

Katie then asked them to pick a song to celebrate and they chose the classic Happy Together by The Turtles.

Up until the announcement, the news of Vicky and Jonny’s wedding had been a closely guarded secret, with only the guests themselves having known about the ceremony at the Council House in Nottingham yesterday, with a party in the evening held at the Metronome.

But since going public, more and more details have emerged from the event, including which famous faces were in attendance, what the bride’s dress was like, and even what refreshments were served!

For her special day, actress Vicky wore a stunning bardot-style satin wedding corset and skirt from Halfpenny London, paired with a stunning veil, waved hair and low-key make-up. While Jonny opted for a navy double-breasted suit, light-blue tie and corsage.

But for those not wanting to imbibe of any alcoholic refreshment, Vicky and Jonny also had their other guests covered, with a very special tea station on hand for a good ol’ fashioned brew to help toast the happy couple.

Interestingly, the tea station also served as a nod to Jonny’s unconventional proposal back in 2017, as Vicky previously admitted: “We stayed at home for the first time together on Christmas Eve so had Christmas morning together. He popped the question over a cup of tea – we moved onto the bubbles by 8.30am.”
