Swapping his usual Saturday night role as the presenter of The Masked Singer for a dose of morning show realness, Joel Dommett surprised fans this week as he took over presenting duties from Phillip Schofield on This Morning.
Veteran presenter Phil is currently taking a break from This Morning until Monday 3 April, with Joel, 37, having stepped in to present alongside co-host Holly Willoughby on Wednesday and Thursday.
Although Joel, who is married to model Hannah Cooper, has become one of the most in demand prime time TV presenters, he started out his career as a stand-up comic.
He even briefly tried his hand at acting and back in 2010, Joel played DC Sweeney in season four of skins.
In one scene, Joel typed away in the back room of a club as a colleague interviewed a the club owner about drug on the premises.
Joel starred alongside Our Girl actor Luke Pasqualino in the series, as he played He Freddie McClair throughout series three and four of the show.
As well as actor roles, Joel has also presented on Made In Chelsea spin-off show, Live In Chelsea.
The star even once took part in Impractical Jokers. After he lost, Joel's forfeit was to go into a launderette and remove his clothes one by one, ready to go in the wash, before ultimately ending up fully nude.
In 2016, the hunk gained notoriety during his I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! stint where he came second on the ITV jungle show, losing out on the crown to Gogglebox favourite Scarlett Moffatt.
During his time in the jungle, the comedian wasn't shy about getting his kit off, and it's no surprise given the lengths he goes to in order to look so good.
After his three weeks in the jungle with limited food, Joel revealed he lost one stone while taking part in the ITV show.
Since the jungle, Joel has enthusiastically pursued his fitness journey and recently shared a sweaty shirtless selfie alongside fellow heartthrob, Jamie Redknapp.
Joel is a keen running and previously confessed it's the only sport he's ever been "half-decent" at.
He told Runner's World: "I run three miles every day during the week – it's a mile and a half to the gym – and then do a long run every weekend."
He also enjoys CrossFit and told Gay Times: "Honestly, give it a go. It will change everything for you!
"It’s a real cult, as soon as you’re involved, you’re stuck. It’s a great thing to be addicted to. Some people choose drugs or sex, I choose to sweat with other men."
As for his diet, during a previous appearance on Sunday Brunch he said: “I don’t really like carbs – I mean, obviously you’ve gotta eat the right carbs but I don’t like them.”
As he tucked into a bowl of pasta he joked: “I can feel myself bloating!”
He and wife Hannah regularly try new sports together, including Pilates and pole dancing.
