Kourtney Kardashian just shared her go-to foundation that’s perfect for sensitive skin

With the wintry weather starting to set in, it’s natural that your skin can start feeling extra dry and sensitive.

Although giving your skincare routine a shake-up and adding extra moisture is key to helping combat that tight, itchy, irritated feeling, it can also help to upgrade your makeup too, particularly when it comes to your foundation.

Some foundations can actually dry out your skin (yep, even the dewy ones!), so finding one that not only hydrates you but is actually designed to be kind to sensitive skin can totally change how your complexion looks and feels.

When it comes to skin-healing makeup, who better to take advice from than Kourtney Kardashian, who is known for her love of ‘clean’, natural beauty products?

The eldest Kardashian sibling recently shared her favourite foundation over on her wellness brand,Poosh, and revealed that it’s the only one she’ll use, even insisting that makeup artists exclusively use it on her skin.

The product in question? Oxygenetix Oxygenating Breathable Foundation, £66 here, which combines skin-boosting benefits and high coverage to create a base that gives you camera-ready skin whilst still healing and protecting it.

Kourtney said: “This is the foundation I use every single day. My skin was breaking out a lot from different makeup artists using different foundations on me. My dermatologist suggested that I stick to one foundation, and this one is actually good for your skin…it’s even healing, it lets your skin breathe. Whenever I have anyone do my makeup, I have them use this on me.”

The Oxygenetix Oxygenating Breathable Foundation, £66 here, is often used by celebs makeup artists for its buildable coverage, and comes recommended by dermatologists because of its aloe vera base which provides anti-bacterial properties and eliminates dead surface cells, keeping your skin soothed and cleansed while wearing it.

It also contains Ceravitae, which is an oxygen complex that allows oxygen to penetrate your skin and acts as a second skin, unlike other heavy coverage, water-based foundations which create a barrier and attract bacteria which can lead to breakouts and dryness.

As well as being the perfect combo of skincare and makeup, it’s also water- and transfer-resistant, long wearing, and oil and fragrance free, so it’s no wonder Kourt is such a big fan.

It’s not just Kourtney who loves it, though, as it has plenty of rave reviews from happy shoppers, with one saying: “I'm a 57 year old beach girl with the skin damage to prove it. Oxygenetix is amazing – incredibly lightweight, like water (I hate cakey makeup!), but blends the discoloration and looks so natural. AND it lasts forever! I have to remember to wash it off at the end of the day. Worth every penny!”

Another said: “Love it. Great coverage and let’s my skin breathe,” whilst another wrote: “It feels so fresh and light on my skin. I like it a lot, although it took some getting used to and is pricey for the amount.”

There’s no denying that at £66, the Oxygenetix Oxygenating Breathable Foundation, £66 here, is a pricey investment, so we’ve found some other foundations that offer similar skincare benefits and great coverage with a slightly more budget-friendly price tag that you can shop below.
