Love Island star Laura Anderson recently announced she's expecting her first child with ex-Hollyoaks actor Gary Lucy, with the reality TV star sharing the happy news on Instagram.
Laura, 33, met Gary, 41, in 2022 when they both appeared on hit E4 show Celebs Go Dating and while they were meant to be finding love with non-celebrities, the famous pair soon fell for one another.
The mum-to-be signed up for the show following her split from Dane Bowers earlier that same year, while Gary took part after struggling to find love since his divorce four years ago from ex-wife Natasha Gray.
Here we take a look into Laura's pregnancy journey so far, including her split from Gary…
Announcement
Laura excitedly announced she's pregnant on Instagram on 15 February, and shared the happy news with a sweet reel containing clips of her undergoing ultrasound scans and showing off her baby bump.
"Our hearts are full Baby Lucy due 'Summer 23," the mum-to-be captioned her Instagram post and tagged dad-of-four Gary.
Laura's reel included photos of her and Gary celebrating their baby news over the festive period, with one adorable snap showing them sporting festive pyjamas as Gary proudly held Laura's bump.
At the end of the video, Laura could be seen popping a large balloon with 'Boy or Girl?' printed across it while standing with her friends outside. The clip appeared to show the mum-to-be finding out her baby's gender, but she shared it in black-and-white in order to keep it a secret from her fans.
Split from Gary
Not long after they shared their baby news, it was reported that Laura and Gary had called time on their on-off romance.
Laura reportedly "dumped" a "devastated" Gary after their first pregnancy scan, and the soon-to-be dad-of-five is said to be "heartbroken" over the split.
The Sun reported that a source told them Gary recently travelled to Glasgow in a "desperate attempt to win her back," but that she was "adamant it's over" after they "attended their first scan together."
Gary then confirmed the split, telling the publication: "I love Laura but we are no longer together. My main drive as always is to work together to co-parent our child. I look forward to the arrival of the new baby."
Gary then revealed that Laura called the relationship off after he refused to move from Essex to her native Scotland.
He opened up about the split to The Sun on Sunday, telling the publication: "Laura did want me to move but I have my responsibilities here. I have four kids and all the things that go along with that so it’s very difficult, if not impossible, to uproot at this time.
“Having gone through a divorce, my children need me and living such a long way from them just would not be possible. I wish I could break myself in half. I would if I could.”
Gary continued: "I’m really gutted. I haven’t stopped loving her and I won’t stop loving her.”
