Lioness star Georgia Stanway’s life away from sport including boyfriend Olly Ashall-Bott

Georgia Stanway is the Lioness whose remarkable performance helped England reach the semi-finals of Euro 2022. And despite her tender years, she's had an incredible sporting career. But what is life like for the youngest player in England’s World Cup line-up?

The recently signed Bayern Munich player appears very down to earth and like most people, enjoys spending time with her loved ones. She is often spotted at rugby matches cheering on her boyfriend Olly Ashall-Bolt, 24, who plays rugby league for Toulouse Olympique.

The pair have been dating since March 2018 and live together in Widnes, Cheshire. According to the Mirror, while Georgia says Olly’s rugby friends are settling down, they don’t plan to get married or have children yet.

“We’re enjoying each other’s company, we’re still young and just loving life. I’ve got trophies that I want to lift before I lift any children up," she said.

While little is known about the footballer, Englandfootball.com was able to find out what makes the youngster tick. From buying her first home and biting her nails out of boredom to feeling at peace in her favourite place in the world, the Lake District.

Off the pitch she enjoys fishing, and during the lockdown, she and Olly regularly took up the activity and became competitive too.

She said: "I love the outdoors, I love going fishing and I just love being at one with nature. I love how peaceful it is and when you are out there nothing else matters and that bit of fresh air can basically lighten up the whole day."

When she's away from home, the star likes to think about all the "home comforts" and special occasions such as Christmas, birthdays and roast dinners. She said the smells often "bring back memories".

Like many, the star has big goals in life but for her, it's the thought of living the trophy wearing the England shirt alongside her teammates and her family watching on. "That would be the ultimate dream come true", she added.

Who doesn't like to kick their shoes off and simply do nothing after a hard day at work? Not Georgia, she likes to "potter around the house" and "clean".

"The girls will come around and be like ‘will you just sit still and have a conversation?’ And I would be like 'No, will you come upstairs because I am cleaning out my drawers? " she added.

Georgia's rise to the top of the women’s game is nothing short of impressive, and the 23 year old doesn't look set to slow down anytime soon. She's made huge waves in the football industry thus far, but will England number 10 who hails from Barrow-in-Furness, bring the game back home as the Lionesses face Sweden tonight at 8pm in the semi-final.
