It’s only been a week since Love Island returned to our screens but there’s already been heaps of drama.
Last night’s episode started with the first double dumping of the series and Islanders were devastated when Haris Namani and Anna-May Robey were the first to pack their bags and head home.
But waving goodbye to the Islanders means there’s room for plenty more.
At the end of the show, just as the contestants were about to take part in a recoupling, new bombshells Ellie and Spencer made their entrance into the 90s-themed party.
As the newbies get settled into the South African villa to stir things up, here’s everything you need to know about Spencer Wilks.
The 24 year old from Bournemouth describes himself as "husband material".
He’s an E-commerce business owner, initially telling the show that he "basically sells vibrators online".
Before heading into the villa he said: “People definitely get the wrong impression when they see me, they just think I’m a f*** boy or a player but I don’t think I am.”
In fact, he’d even go so far as to say he’s ready for marriage, adding: “I’m fun, I’m cool, I’m just all round husband material. If you want a husband, I’m your guy. I want to go travelling, I want to see the world.
“I’m loyal, I’m loving, I’ll make you tea in the morning. I can’t cook very well, that’s unfortunate. I’m honest.”
He thinks now is the best time to go on the show because it’s the only time he’s ever been single.
The star said: “It’s a great experience and I’ll be out of my comfort zone, maybe I’ll find someone that I could be with forever and to share that experience with someone I think is quite unique. This is the only time I’ve been single, so it’s now or never really.”
But when he’s inside he might ruffle a few feathers with his upfront attitude, admitting: “I do say the wrong things as I have no filter. If I think it, I’ll say it straight away. Sometimes it’s great, sometimes it’s not. Sometimes it stirs things up a bit which I find funny.”
This isn’t Spencer’s only brush with fame. His cousin James Wilks competed for the UFC, King of the Cage, and was the winner of Spike TV’s The Ultimate Fighter: United States vs United Kingdom.
In May 2012, he announced his retirement from active MMA competitions after he was left with a fractured vertebra which doctors told him could leave him with paralysis if he continued to fight.
He also appeared on the Netflix documentary The Game Changers in 2018 which focused on promoting a plant-based diet in sports.
