MAFS Australia drama E4 hasn’t aired – from couple who are related to sexting scandal

With explosive dinner parties, cheating scandals and even telling offs from the experts, the latest series of Married At First Sight Australia has been one of the most action-packed yet.

The latest MAFS Australia was filmed Down Under last year, but hasn't quite reached its conclusion here in the UK. And not only do we have plenty of twists to come, but the drama has also spilled over into real-life (and Instagram!).

So from – even more – cheating accusations to a bride unhappy with her edit and even a couple finding out they were already related, here's the drama E4 aren't showing you. Warning – there are spoilers ahead for the current series!

Related couple

Ollie Skelton and Tahnee Cook met at the altar, but things took an awkward turn when they found out they were actually related.

Guests recognised each other at the wedding party and it was later revealed that Tahnee's brother-in-law is actually Ollie's second cousin, meaning they are not related by blood, but by family connections.

A wedding guest told Yahoo! Lifestyle: "Technically, they are distant relatives in a weird way. A lot of the cast would joke about it."

MAFS bosses opted not to include the storyline in the series.

The source added: "They laughed about this a few times during filming, but it probably won’t be aired as [Aussie broadcaster] Channel Nine won’t want people spinning it into an incest-style headline scandal."

Tayla's 'villain edit' complaint

Controversial latecomer Tayla Winter has claimed she was the victim of an unfair edit and portrayed as the 'female villain'.

Nurse Tayla, 27, was matched with Hugo Armstrong but the pair didn't exactly get off to a good start as Tayla barred him from their bed and ruled out any physical contact – include polite greetings such as a kiss on the cheek.

Following dinner party and commitment ceremony clashes, they called it quits and left the show.

Speaking to Hit100.9's Dan & Christie, she said: "I’ve definitely been given the villain edit. They didn’t really have a female villain this year and I had to slide into that role a little bit.

"I don’t think it’s a true representation of myself and it’s not reflecting who I am, but it is what it is. The people who know me know me."

The 27 year old went on to claim she had been taken advantage of and was "extremely naive" heading into the experiment.

Cam and Tayla's 'sexting'

Cameron Woods and Lyndall Grace have had their ups and downs so far, but fans are currently rooting for them to make their long distance romance work.

Unfortunately down in Australia, they're no longer an item – and it's now been reported that they've both been texting or hooking up with others from the show.

Can has been caught in up in a sexting scandal with no other than Tayla, with rumours circulating that he flashed during a FaceTime call with her.

Tayla then confirmed in a radio interview: "Yeah, there is a little bit of truth to that."

"He was really drunk and I was drinking with all of my friends as well, and I'm pretty sure it just happened," she said. "He said, 'Do you want me to get it out?' And I said, 'Yeah, I dare you to.' And I didn't think that he actually would."

Cam himself has insisted there's nothing romantic going on though, explaining: "After final vows I went back home and was having a bit of friendly banter with Tayla.

"It was just a back and forth text. It was nothing serious. It was just a friendly chat."

Lyndall wasn't convinced though, and said their relationship had changed since Tayla joined the season, she also said Cam had made inappropriate jokes about inviting Tayla to share an intimate night with them both.

Lyndall and Josh's romance

Meanwhile, Lyndall is reported to have got close with another of the grooms during a wrap party.

Josh White was paired with Melissa Sheppard but their relationship failed after multiple clashes over a difference in sex drives.

And when the couples reunited for a post-series party in Sydney in December, Lyndall and Cam reportedly got close with Heart reporting that they "couldn't keep their hands off each other."

An unnamed MAFS star is quoted as saying: “Lyndall and Josh were all over each other in front of everyone, and it was really uncomfortable to watch.

“They were so caught up in the moment they didn't even care who was watching.”

It was later reported that Josh, who lives in Sydney, flew to Perth in late January to spend time with Lyndall, only to find out she was actually dating someone else.

A source told Daily Mail Australia: "Josh was heartbroken as he was under the impression Lyndall was single. She completely led him on.

“He was on the first flight back to Sydney and not happy one bit. They spoke for hours every day leading up to this holiday and she didn't mention it once.”

They added: “It has caused a lot of tension and drama within the group, and Lyndall and Josh are no longer on speaking terms. It's a complete mess.

Lyndall has denied there was anything going on with Josh though, telling Who magazine: “A lot of what's been said is wildly inaccurate.

“Josh messaged every person in the cast because he had a rough time when he left his marriage to Melissa and adjusting back to real life."

She added that they were friends during filming and "exchanged a couple of messages" but didn't become better pals until after the show ended.
