Mixing together one cup of baking soda, a third of a cup of dishwashing detergent, Chantel makes her own scrubbing paste.

‘This mix can be used on your stovetop and all around your home to rid tough grease,’ she said as she used a steel brush to clean the hard-to-reach areas.

‘Use the same mix on your burners with steel wool to rid burnt marks.’

Finally, she washed and rinses the burners and grates with ease after the soaking loosened the build-up of grime and reassembled the stove.

Chantel shared the stove cleaning hack in an online video across her popular social media channels racking up a combined 543,000 views.

‘Wow!! That scrubbing at the end to remove the built up grime. I must try this now,’ one woman commented.

‘You have inspired me to clean my stove! It desperately needs it,’ another wrote.

‘Perfect…have been looking for this kind of solutions for months,’ a third replied.

Previously, Chantel revealed her ‘go-to’ hack for giving her oven a ‘quick refresh’ between deep cleans without using any harsh chemicals.

She heated up the oven with a tray filled with water and lemons and used a sprinkle of bi-carb soda to cut through stubborn grime.

The Melbourne mum-of-two sliced up one lemon and placed the slices in a heat-proof bowl with water.

She said the steam will soften the build up of dirt while the citric acid in the lemons held to ‘cut through grease’.

Chantel lets the oven cool until it is warm and sprinkles baking soda over the surface to ‘make scrubbing easy’.

She dips a microfibre cloth into the lemon water once it has cooled and wipes away the greasy grime with ease.

The cleaning and organising whizz shared the hack in a video to her popular social media pages which quickly drew in more than 411,000 views and a string of thankful comments from fans.

‘Love this tip. I hate cleaning ovens. Mine really needs doing,’ one mum said.

‘I have to do this after this weeks holiday!’ another added.

‘How often do you deep clean because your oven is spotless?’ asked a third to which Chantel replied: ‘I deep clean about every quarter (four times a year) and then this process in between.’

For deeper cleans, Chantel said she uses her homemade ‘power paste’ which can also be used in bathrooms and other areas of the kitchen.

She mixes one cup of baking soda with a third of a cup of dish soap and a third of a cup of water.

The mum also adds a few drops of essential oil to make her home smell amazing but said this was an optional ingredient.

Chantel stirs to make a paste then pours the mix into an airtight squeeze bottle.

‘This mix is so powerful at removing tough stains and limescale,’ she explained adding it has great ‘scrubbing power’ and is perfect for areas that ‘need a little more elbow grease’.
