Meghan Markle brought the glitz and the glamour to the Invictus Games stage last night as she joined Prince Harry in Germany.
Making an emotional address to 1,600 competitors, friends and family at a glittering party held in Dusseldorf hotel, the Duchess of Sussex, 42, stunned in a black shirt dress from Banana Republic, costing £112.
She added a touch of glitz to the outfit by wearing her mysterious pinky ring, which was made by celebrity jeweller Lorraine Schwartz and is reportedly worth an estimated $62,000.
There have long been questions about the origin of the pinky ring, which Meghan has worn on a number of occasions.
In 2021, Prince Harry and Meghan denied claims that the band was fashioned with diamonds gifted to the couple by a mystery donor in the Middle East – before clarifying that they were referring to a different ring.

They initially said the piece was sourced by a stylist on the shoot directly from the designer and that there was no link to a mystery donor in the Middle East.
But in a spectacular U-turn, they later rolled back the denial, and clarified that they were referring to a different ring.
There was no further mention made of the Lorraine Schwartz ring in question on her right hand, begging the question of whether Meghan has something to hide about the provenance of the diamond, which was first seen on her finger in October 2020.
If the diamonds did indeed come from the Middle East, it’s not clear if Meghan received the gift while she was still a working royal, or after she performed her final official duties in early March 2020.
She did not visit the region officially, but there’s always the possibility she made a private trip.
Buckingham Palace only publishes a list of gifts received by royals while on duty in the UK or overseas, and there is no public record of Meghan being given any diamonds.
Gifts sent to the royals outside of official engagements are recorded but not made public.
The palace previously directed inquiries about the diamonds back to the Sussexes’ representatives in the US.

She paired her dress with black pumps and wore her thick brunette locks down and brushed behind one shoulder.
As she delivered a speech onstage just hours after landing in Dusseldorf, Meghan had Harry by her side, who looked equally smart in a black suit and dark blue shirt.
The pair looked relaxed as they attended the private Invictus event, which is hosting competitors and their family and friends, and is sponsored by Amazon.
Meghan’s evening glamour look follows her travel chic outfit earlier in the day as she flew from LAX to Dusseldorf, with a brief stopover at London Heathrow.
Spotted boarding her first flight in LA, the Duchess looked effortlessly stylish in her $770 ivory Valentino mules, black baggy three-quarter-length trousers, a V-necked long-sleeved top and oversized $500 Celine sunglasses on her head while carrying a trademark hat.
She was clutching a $2,650 Goyard tote bag while her solo bodyguard was lugging a rucksack and dark suit carrier that may have contained one of Meghan’s dresses.

Known for her quiet-luxury outfits, often monochrome, dazzling red-carpet dresses and sharp suits, Meghan’s wardrobe combines designer royalty from Valentino and Celine to Manolo Blahnik, Chanel and Cartier with some affordable finds from Self Portrait and Aritzia.
Many of her big style moments have been at the Invictus Games where she famously made her debut back in 2017 wearing ‘The Husband’ shirt by Misha Nonoo just months before the pair’s royal engagement.
