Harry and Meghan arrive in Morocco for whirlwind tour
Prince Harry and Meghan arrived at Casablanca Airport where they were greeted by the British Ambassador and his wife.
The Duchess of Sussex looked more elegant than ever in a bespoke Valentino red dress, nude heels and a matching clutch.
Harry stepped out of the car and walked the red carpet to inspect a guard of honour while Meghan followed behind but was suddenly stopped by a member of staff who seemed to be giving her some instructions.
After that, the Duchess of Sussex could be seen guided off the red carpet. Although it was never confirmed why she wasn’t able to follow her husband, social media users claimed the staff member told Meghan “that red carpets are for royals only”.
Body language expert Judi James analysed the moment and studied the gestures and non-verbal communication to try to understand what really happened here.

Judi claimed that body language moments like this “can need context as they are often less dramatic than they look”.
She observed: “Harry and Meghan both receive what looks like a fulsome welcome as they arrive from their car here and their hosts are clearly offering them some polite ushering rituals to help them walk in the right direction without any discomfort.
“Harry seems perfectly aware that his immediate job will be to inspect the guard of honour as he is buttoning his jacket and is seen walking away without any need to glance back at Meghan, who has her own host throwing their arm out to take her to the side.

“If this were some kind of status slight then Harry might be first on the list of royals expected to amend it immediately.”
The expert opined that Meghan’s royal status “would make it odd if this was aimed at keeping a non-royal off the red carpet and she is on it later anyway”.
She suggested: “Perhaps she was being shown where to wait while Harry did the military stuff before she would join him back on the red carpet again afterwards.”
The body language guru commented that there might even have been “the offer of a seat in respect of her pregnancy”.
She concluded: “Based on this clip it’s probably better to not jump to any conclusions.”
Meghan and Harry got married in May 2018 meaning Meghan was part of the Royal Family and considered a “royal” by marriage.
