‘Men sexualise my 38JJ boobs – but I won’t stop wearing bikinis and lingerie’

A woman with 38JJ-size boobs said men often sexualise women with big breasts – and she thinks it's because of porn.

Honey Positano, 35, from Melbourne, began posting body positive content around three years ago following a brief holiday to Hawaii.

She's suffered with body dysmorphia and body image issues since she was 12 – but now spends her time talking about body image to help other women feel more comfortable in their skin.

More recently she's opened up about the size of her breasts – as people have often commented on the size of her bust.

Honey is a size 38JJ and last month she opened up about how strangers have said her boobs are "inappropriate".

She also said women with large breasts get sexualised a lot, and she thinks this has a lot to do with images displayed in pornography.

Speaking exclusively to The Daily Star, Honey said there seems to be an infatuation with boobs.

When asked why she thinks women with larger breasts are often sexualised, she said: "Porn but – funnily enough – my natural breasts aren’t the type of breasts that a majority of people who are attracted to women grew up fantasising about.

"Oversized breast implants on petite bodies definitely set an unrealistic standard for how women's breasts look.

"It has been my experience that some people sexualise women with a natural, fuller bust and others judge them for the attention they receive – regardless of how unwanted it is."

In the past, Honey admits people have told her not to wear certain things because of the size of her breasts.

It started in school when teachers would tell her wearing a standard school top looked "inappropriate".

Throughout her 20s she also struggled with fashion as she just wanted to wear what everyone else was wearing.

"When I was younger, I went through stages of covering up as much as possible to then rebelling and dressing as brazenly as I could," she added.

"Without being obscene.

"Now that I’m in my thirties, I just wear what I like, and if it makes people uncomfortable then that says more about the issues they have with their own bodies than it does about mine.

"You weren’t born to shrink yourself into other peoples idea of what you should look like or dress like.

"You will never please everybody so focus on wearing what pleases you."

Now Honey makes content that focuses on celebrating the female body.

She wants women to love the skin they're in, so she often shares snaps of herself wearing sexy lingerie, swimwear and has even posed nude in the past.

The mum urges people to wear what they feel most comfortable in and she won't let people's comments about her body – or boobs – get her down.

Honey added: "I see beautiful women like my mother who has worn black most of her life, because she grew up in a generation that made women feel they needed to hide themselves away unless they were very thin.

"If posting images of my plus size body in my underwear, swimwear and tight clothing helps just one woman to realise that they can wear whatever they want, I’ve done my job.

"Life is too short to fixate on what we look like on the outside. As long as you’re healthy inside, you’re golden."
