Did she choose a pop star over her pup?
Olivia Wilde’s former nanny claims the movie director got rid of her dog Gordon in order to be able to travel with her then-new beau Harry Styles and spend more time with him.
“After [Wilde] left [at the start of November 2020], she came for a visit and said, ‘We have to find Gordon a new home,’ nonchalantly,” the ex-employee alleged to the Daily Mail on Tuesday.
“Jason doesn’t really care for animals and wanted him out of their home asap.”
According to the nanny, who chose to remain anonymous, the “Ted Lasso” star, 47, once told her Wilde, 38, only had the pet for “appearances anyway” and that she “rarely cared” for him.
“I told Jason I knew somebody who loves Gordon and was willing to take him in so Jason said, ‘Let’s get him out of here right away,’” the woman further claimed.
The dog reportedly went to live with Wilde’s dog walker, who is based in New York.
Aside from the allegations about Wilde’s Golden Retriever, the nanny has made several damning claims about her former bosses, including that a lovelorn Sudeikis once threw himself under Wilde’s car to stop her from leaving and that he allegedly kicked the worker out of his house in a drunken rage.
However, exes Wilde and Sudeikis banded together on Monday afternoon to debunk the nanny’s claims.
They said in a joint statement to Page Six, “As parents, it is incredibly upsetting to learn that a former nanny of our two young children would choose to make such false and scurrilous accusations about us publicly.
“Her now 18 month long campaign of harassing us, as well as loved ones, close friends and colleagues, has reached its unfortunate apex. We will continue to focus on raising and protecting our children with the sincere hope that she will now choose to leave our family alone.”
Exes Sudeikis and Wilde came together on Monday to slam the nanny over her claims.
