Stars have been getting ready for fashion’s biggest night of the year as they gear up for tonight’s Met Gala.
Each year, the event attracts the biggest names in the fashion industry as well as a whole host of A-List actors, musicians and reality stars.
Some of the celebs are giving fans a behind the scenes glimpse of what it’s like getting ready for such an occasion, including socialite Paris Hilton and supermodel Karlie Kloss.
Paris, 42, shared that she was getting a lymphatic massage in order to look “snatched for the Met” before posting a selfie to personally thank her masseuse.
Karlie, 30, meanwhile posted a very cryptic snap of a coffee table with what looked to be a bag full of pearls, some white tissue paper and what could be the corner of a black gown – though fans will have to wait and see!
She did share the myriad of diamond jewelry she had assembled to choose from as she joked: “let the Met madness begin.”
Earlier in the day, Karlie had shared a picture of her healthy smoothie as she asked fans what behind the scenes prep they wanted her to post.
The model wrote, “what do you want to see on TikTok? Fittings, makeup, friends, eats, hair… tell me!”
Actress Elle Fanning also joined in on the candid prep posting as she shared a selfie of her making sure her skin was glowing in a sheet mask.
She also held up an ultra-healthy looking green smoothie in a cheers gesture.
In the caption, the 25 year old wrote: “bottoms up Met!”
These three are the first stars to start posting about the event, but it’s likely they’ll be joined by plenty of huge celebs as the night wears on.
It’s thought that some or all of the Kardashian family will be in attendance, after Kim Kardashian’s decision to borrow Marilyn Monroe’s iconic gold glitter dress caused a stir at last year’s event, as well as pop star Dua Lipa, tennis legend Roger Federer and Michaela Coel, who all helped to co-chair the event.
Fashion behemoth Anna Wintour will almost certainly show up too, and other major celebs rumoured to be planning to attend range from Blake Lively and Rihanna to Taylor Swift and Timothee Chalamet.
