Prince William is the devoted father of Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, but according to a body language expert his relationship with one of them has an “extra dimension”. Judi James gave her verdict to Express.co.uk.

According to the body language expert, Prince William is an adoring father who treats his children wonderfully.

However, due to one key factor, the bond between him and one of his children is particularly strong.

She said: “William’s body language displays with his children show a very even-handed approach but his relationship with eldest George has an extra dimension thanks to their shared destiny.”

Having been in George’s position his whole life, the royal father seems “determined to ensure his son avoids so much of the anguish that he suffered himself during his own childhood”.

Prince William and Prince George are often seen side-by-side or even hand-in-hand and Judi explained why.

“William has kept George that little bit closer at public appearances and he seems to be a very mindful role model and coach for the boy who, like him, will one day be King.

“It is George’s hand he would normally be seen holding and it is often George he is seen checking or encouraging the most with small tie-signs like pats on the back and shoulder touches.”

According to the expert, this special relationship has been formed partly because of a shared destiny but partly because George may need the gentle support more than his brother and sister.

“Charlotte has always seemed extremely confident and fond of walking ahead or exploring alone and Louis shows no signs of shyness or wariness.”

Indeed, Princess Charlotte has even been pictured instructing her brothers on how to behave at royal engagements, for example gently reminding George that he needed to “bow” at the Queen’s funeral and Louis to stop putting his fingers in his mouth at the Platinum Pageant.

Louis is also no stranger to making silly faces and expressions which keep the family – and nation – entertained.

George, on the other hand, “does at times seem to have inherited similar signals of shyness and caution as his father”.

The expert also suggested that while William spends time with all three children, he cultivates and carves out special times for just himself and George.

Judi said: “Off-duty we can see William playing, romping and generally just being a dad with all three of his children but he has obviously been planning George’s role carefully.”

She noted that even their dad and son trips to the football are a “necessary form of outlet, relaxation and confidence-boosting for his son”.

“When William and George attend football together their body language mirroring shows not only how close their thinking is but how much George is going to be the proverbial ‘chip off the old block’.”

The nine-year-old Prince often looks like his dad’s mini-me in a matching suit as they step out together in public.

Judi previously told Express.co.uk that in time George might step into a “wingman” role for his dad.

“Diana had hopes it would be Harry but now it is only George who will completely ‘get’ the pressures and demands on his father and who will actually be sharing them, as William shares with his own father, Charles.”
