This Tuesday, after delivering up a royal serving of glamour at the 2023 BAFTAs on Sunday night, the Princess of Wales visited the family-run Oxford House Nursing Home in Slough in yet another pair of striking earrings.
The affordable bijou collector met with onsite staff and residents to learn how delivering high-quality, patient-focused care is at the centre of the home’s work. Oxford House first opened its doors back in 1980 and uses cutting edge, interactive technology to enrich the lives of residents.

Princess Kate has given statement earrings the royal seal of approval
For the occasion the 41-year-old future monarch donned a pair of tailored navy flares and one of her signature roll-neck knit tops in a matching dark blue hue. She teamed the look with a Polène Numéro Sept Mini style handbag in cobalt blue, and wrapped up warm in her trusty camel coat from Max&Co to complete the outfit, but once again all our attention was on her jewellery. She wore a pair of electric blue vintage inspired button earrings, complete with gold textured detailing. Like at the BAFTAs, Kate proved that a statement earring is becoming her go-to styling trick.
The addition of statement earrings, at nominally affordable prices have become de rigueur for the mother-of-three at her last few engagements. In fact her BAFTA earrings which hailed from Zara were a steal at just £17, although they are now being resold on eBay for 10 times the price, thanks to their new royal endorsement. Her look had us mesmerised from head to toe, but the statement earrings gave major Schiaparelli vibes and proved that you don’t need to break the bank to ensure all eyes are on you.

The Princess of Wales visited the family-run Oxford House Nursing Home
In January the princess attended an event at BAFTA ahead of the launch of her Shaping Us campaign, alongside her husband, Prince William wearing the Florence chandelier earrings, which come in at a modest £75 from independent brand Chalk. In recent months she’s donned these stunning £14 earrings from Accessorize, and wore two pairs of gold earrings in a row costing less than £80 on her UK tour to promote her new initiative Shaping Us.
Forget a statement necklace, it’s all about earrings for this modern royal.
