While Rachel Zoe once told us she buys diamonds in bulk for the holidays, this Mother’s Day she’s setting setting her sights on something simpler.

“It’s obviously always nice to have diamonds and things like that,” the celebrity stylist-turned-designer, who recently partnered with haircare and cleaning label MyKirei, tells Page Six Style.

“But I think [for] moms … you just kind of want to be reminded that all the blood, sweat and tears you give every minute of every day somehow doesn’t go unnoticed by the kids.”

As for what might fit that bill this Mother’s Day (aka her “favorite day of the year”)? Besides “arts and crafts” from her children — Kaius, 9, and Skyler, 12 — the star’s favorites include FlowerBx blooms and bling “that reminds [her] of being a mom” — like Jennifer Meyer‘s engravable pieces.

“I’m really sappy with Mother’s Day,” adds Zoe — who, despite having dressed some of the biggest names in Hollywood, recommends something a little less red carpet-ready for Mother’s Day: a “fuzzy and cozy” robe from Skims or Barefoot Dreams, which makes the celeb-loved Ribbed Hooded Robe ($158).

But while Zoe’s personal schedule doesn’t include “a lot of self-care” — in fleece fashions or otherwise — her limited “me time” often entails exfoliating and applying “a hair treatment mask like Olaplex.”

“[For] my self-care sort of quick fixes, a lot of times I use a Kora Organic mask,” she says, calling out the Turmeric Brightening Exfoliating Mask (from $18) as her favorite.

“I honestly use [it] in the shower like almost every day. It’s like coming out with new skin, that’s nice and shiny and tight every day.”

If you’re hoping to shower your own mom with gifts for her shower and skincare routine, Zoe’s picks also include “the must-haves from Barbara Sturm,” which she says would make her “very happy.”

After all, while motherhood changed her daily style — “I don’t wear my more precious things during the day the way I used to,” she says — her beauty bag and closet are certainly still filled with products and pieces to say “I die” over.

“I have really pretty gold clothing racks inside my closet for spillover, and I use velvet trays for jewelry,” says the star, who even packs her clothing on “velvet hangers,” in addition to keeping her beloved garments clean using MyKirei by KAO Easy-Spray Laundry Detergent ($13).

“As someone who is just so maniacal about how I take care of my clothes and my kids clothes, it’s incredible,” says Zoe, whose at-home must-haves also include “candles everywhere.” (“I love my Diptyque,” she says.)

One thing you won’t find hanging in her closet, however? A pair of cargo pants.

“I can’t wrap my head around [the trend] because I was there the first time, so it’s a little harder for me,” she says when asked about her least favorite current fashion fad.

Just call it the opposite of a gift idea to keep in your back (or side) pocket.
