Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis delighted royal fans yesterday when they made a surprise appearance at the Big Help Out event in Slough.
The Prince and Princess of Wales surprised volunteers at a local Scouts headquarters when they arrived with their children in tow.
Following on from the Coronation concert on Sunday night, the family spent hours renovating some Scouts huts for local members to use.
Afterwards, clips from the family’s day out were posted on social media – and fans were in awe of how George, Charlotte and Louis seemed like any other ‘normal kids’ their age.
The Daily Mail’s royal editor Rebecca English accompanied the family to the Scouts base yesterday and shared a heartwarming clip of Prince Louis, five, happily digging into a smore.

As the Princess of Wales assembled Louis’ snack for him, Princess Charlotte was seen enjoying hers in the background.
However, eagle-eyed royal fans noticed that Princess Charlotte accidentally dropped some of her biscuit on the grass behind her brother.
The video – which has amassed over 68,000 views – shows the couple’s second child crouching down to grab the piece she had dropped.
As she watched her little brother being given his sweet treat, Charlotte then discreetly popped the biscuit in her mouth.
Although Louis’ animated reaction to his smore was the focus of the clip, royal fans pointed out how Charlotte had followed the ‘five second rule’ in the comments.
One replied: ‘[He]s gorgeous but did anyone notice what his sister did in the background?
‘When she bit her biscuit a piece fell on the grass, she quickly picked it up. After a couple of seconds, it went in her mouth. Love! Kids are all the same.’
Another added: ‘Yes, demonstrating that even royal children follow the five second rule!’

‘Yes I did,’ a third wrote. ‘[They’re] just normal kids like others.’
What’s more, another royal fan captured footage of Kate and William’s three children piling into a black 4×4 to head home after the engagement had ended.
The adorable seven-second clip shows Charlotte rushing to open the door first to bag a window seat.
Following close behind her, Prince Louis is seen still happily tucking into some marshmallows.
Allowing his siblings to get in first, Prince George, nine, then takes a step back so he can rearrange his hair – using the car window as a mirror.
‘THIS IS SO CUTE,’ one fan replied.
The young prince missed the Coronation Concert last night because it was past his bedtime, but he got down to business and was operating a mini JCB on his father’s lap.

‘Louis seemed to have a good time,’ another added. ‘He’s still eating!’
Meanwhile, a third said: ‘Lol Louis is never sleeping tonight he’s had like 10 sweets.’
What’s more, royal fans also went wild over Prince Louis’ impressive work ethic during the engagement as he got stuck into some shovelling.
Footage posted on Twitter by the fan account @RoyalllyBelle shows the couple’s youngest son filling a wheelbarrow with sand.
The young royal – who didn’t attend the concert last night as it was past his bedtime – was dressed in a light blue polo, navy shorts and black Adidas trainers.
While Louis got stuck into the task at hand, two volunteers supervised the royal as he shovelled the sand.
The 16-second clip shows one of the older Scouts testing out the wheelbarrow to see how heavy it was – as a devoted Louis didn’t pause for a second.
The adorable clip ends with Louis looking over in the direction of other volunteers – where his big sister Charlotte was happily repainting some of the wood for the huts.
One replied: ‘He definitely knows how to use a shovel, you can tell it’s something he’s done before!
‘He’s not mucking about with little loads either, really getting stuck in.’
Another gushed: ‘I could use him in the garden. Impressive!’
‘He’s done that before,’ a third said. Meanwhile, a fourth added: ‘Wonderful to see him enjoy himself.’
The Princess of Wales has been Joint President of the Scouts since 2020 and the royals joined volunteers resetting a path, digging a new soakaway, sanding and revarnishing the front door, adding planters to the front of the building and adding a mural to create a lasting legacy of the Big Help Out’s work.
William and Kate attended in support of the Big Help Out along with other senior royals including the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, the Princess Royal and the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester.
