Maybe bartending is in Ryan Seacrest’s future when he officially leaves “Live with Kelly & Ryan!”
The “American Idol” host served drinks from behind the bar at private cast party for the show in the East Village. But we hear Katy Perry skipped the booze.
Seacrest, Perry and judges Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie have been on a press tour promoting the new season, and they all celebrated at Mister Paradise on Avenue A.
We’re told Seacrest started bartending, whipping up the bar’s “Miami Vice” cocktail as soon as he got there.
“They took a bartending class. They were there for hours. Katy Perry is on a cleanse, so there was no drinking for her,” an insider told Page Six.
But there were more than enough drinks for everyone else. Bryan took on serving duties and carried around a tray full of mezcal shots for the other guests.
“It was a party for them to have fun in between [promotional engagements]. Luke was the real life of the party, ripping shots and making fun of Lionel,” the insider added.
The foursome sat at the bar and watched the pros mix signature cocktails when they weren’t making drinks.
Seacrest announced last month that he would be stepping down from his very early morning gig at “Live!”
Friends have been concerned about him burning the candles at both ends since he juggles multiple jobs including hosting a radio show.
He will continue his “Idol” hosting duties and his radio contract expires in 2025.
