Seven youths were arrested after allegedly robbing a teenage boy on a bus travelling to Williams Landing on Monday night.
A 16-year-old boy was reportedly approached by a man who demanded he hand over his AirPods and jewellery, just after 7.30pm.
Several other members of the group, some who carried edged weapons, are alleged to have physically assaulted the teen before stealing his belongings.
The bus driver stopped at Williams Landing train station and called the police.
After the group fled on foot, police arrested an 18-year-old Point Cook man, along with a 17-year-old boy, a 16-year-old boy, two 15-year-old boys, a 15-year-old girl, and a 12-year-old boy.
They are currently assisting police with enquiries.
The alleged victim was not physically injured during the incident.
