DEAR DEIDRE: MY son is in all kinds of trouble with his school and I’m worried they are going to expel him.
At 14, he’s the youngest of my four children, who are all boys. I’m 44 and my partner is 46.
The headteacher called us in because a girl who my son had been seeing reported him for cyber-flashing.
Now the school has suspended him and warned him that if he puts another foot wrong, he’ll be expelled.
He has told us the girl was also sending him naked selfies but, because it happened on SnapChat and he didn’t take screenshots, he has no evidence.
Apparently she was angry he dumped her so was out for revenge.

DEIDRE SAYS: Perhaps to the head again and explain what your son says.
The school needs to be made aware of the full story so he does not become a scapegoat.
But explain to your son that exposing yourself digitally, and sending images to cause distress, is now a criminal offence.
