The author snapped up a packet of floor tiles from homeware store Dunelm for just £9, and revealed that she was going to cover the surface with them.
Showing off the tiles, Stacey told her followers: "Found these floor tiles in Dunelm for £9 for ten so thought I'd use them to cover this worktop bit."
She soon got to work on transforming the worktop, and made sure to document the process on her Stories to show her fans how easy the makeover was.
Stacey started to place the marble tiles on the top and made sure they were all perfectly lined up.
Explaining her method, the star wrote: "I just placed them on and cut the ends with a blade. I'm going to put some heavy books across it all overnight so that it really sticks down well I might put a clear topcoat over it all," and then added that she'd been busy overhauling the worktop first thing in the morning.
Stacey could be seen neatly placing the tiles on the surface in the clip, and a few hours later she unveiled the finished project.
Her new marble worktop looked incredible next to the sage green cupboards and walls, and she proudly said: "I think it looks really good! For £9 I'm happy going to leave it 24 hours then file the edges and also silicone any gaps… I'll let you know if it lasts".
Having painted the space and decorated the worktop, Stacey revealed that the hob in the room is next on her list, adding: "I am going to do something with this hob – even something to make it pretty," alongside a laughing emoji.
The 32 year old recently showed her followers round the room for the very first time as she started to plan the makeover.
She said: "The next project at Pickle Cottage is this. This is like a little kitchen thingy next to the plant room [next to the pool].
“They must have used it as a kitchen by the pool but none of this stuff works anymore and I feel like I could store all the pool’s stuff here, like all the nets, so I'm going to try and jazz it up," as she got to work transforming the space.
