My parents have an open marriage and I can’t respect it.
Mum likes older sugar daddies while my father favours women half his age.
I’m 22 and back living at home after college. I realise that when I was young, they kept their sexploits from me.

We live in a big house and I was always aware of “friends” coming and going. I just assumed my parents were popular.
Now they’ve decided that I’m old enough to hear the truth and I’m disgusted. They insist they love each other and will never split yet sex with others is a big part of who they are.
It feels as though my whole childhood was based on a sleazy lie and I don’t know who they are.
How am I supposed to react?

You finally know what’s going on behind their bedroom door (whether you want to or not…)
Try not to be too hard on them because they’re still the people who raised you and still love you. So, in your mind, your parents are flawed? Who isn’t?
No one ever said this was a perfect world.
I am in no doubt that you’ll mess up, trip up and make some colourful choices of your own in the next few years.
Get on with your own life and don’t be too quick to judge.
