Teresa Giudice isn’t getting her pajamas in a twist.
The “Real Housewives of New Jersey” star is defending husband Luis Ruelas after fans questioned him for revealing that he sometimes wears her late father’s pajamas.
She told People he “was definitely coming from an endearing place. I love him even more so for that” — even though Ruelas never met the late family patriarch.
“Those were brand new. My dad had brand new clothes that he never used … So I think it came out the wrong way,” she explained, adding, “They were, I think, Ralph Lauren that he never used. They weren’t his actual pajamas that my dad wore.”
Ruelas’ comments appear in a teaser for the March 28 episode of “RHONJ,” in which he’s talking to Giudice’s brother, Joe Gorga.
“I live with your four nieces,” he says. “I wear your father’s pajamas at night to make them feel safe and loving, do you know that?”
Giacinto Gorga, known to his grandchildren and Bravo viewers as Nonno, died in April 2020 at age 76 — three years after his wife, Antonia Gorga, passed away at age 66.
Though the trailer didn’t show Gorga’s reaction to Ruelas’ statement outside of a blank stare, viewers had plenty of opinions.
“WTAF? Did Luis really say he wears Nono’s [sic] pajamas to make Teresa’s daughters ‘feel safe and loving?’ Why would Teresa keep her father’s pajamas, and does Luis really think anyone is buyin’ this creepy, babblin’ bulls–t? #RHONJ,” one person tweeted.
Many others called the statement and sentiment “creepy,” and one said they “had to rewind it” to make sure they’d understood Ruelas correctly.

Ruelas, 47, wed Giudice, 50, in August 2022, though Joe Gorga and wife Melissa notably skipped out on the ceremony and reception. The brother and sister stopped speaking while filming of Season 13 of the reality show, as their decade-long feud has gotten worse in recent years.
Giudice even claimed in a separate preview for the Bravo show that Ruelas lost out on $250,000 in a bad business deal with her brother.
Perhaps the two businessmen should take a walk in each other’s shoes to try and mend their relationship.
