Thousands are just discovering the ‘correct way’ to cut English muffins in half – and you don’t need a knife

A man was lost for words after realising the ‘right way’ to perfectly cut English muffins in half every time.
One morning while making breakfast the man noticed specific directions on the TipTop packaging he had never seen before.
It read ‘twist apart to enjoy’ and even included a tiny picture demonstrating the motion. Up until this moment he had always used a kitchen knife to slice the English muffins in two, and this new found information blew his mind.
In a video TikTok user @sharvs28 can be seen grabbing a muffin with both hands and gently twisting it in the opposite direction to break it apart.
‘No way! Been using a knife to cut them my whole life!’ he said.

In the short clip, the man holds up the packet and zooms in on the tiny instructions located above the health label.
By following the instructions the muffin was halved in one quick and easy motion.
The man acted swiftly to share the video on social media and has since left thousands of others flabbergasted. The clip itself has also been viewed a staggering three million times.
‘What!? I always cut them,’ one person commented, another said: ‘Mind blown! I had no idea!’
‘How have I survived 35 years? Honestly, I know nothing,’ a third admitted.
Another said: ‘Really? Running off to buy some.’
’43 years old and I only recently learnt this. Admittedly I still can’t twist them without ripping it,’ one man added.
But not everyone was impressed and others said they’ve known this ‘hack’ all along.
‘Y’all didn’t notice they’re basically pre cut?’ one asked.
‘Every one knows this,’ another blatantly said.
‘Now there’s crumbs all over the floor,’ a third added, another said: ‘They’ve been doing that for like 30 years.’
