When she’s not sharing on-screen smooches in “The Summer I Turned Pretty,” Lola Tung knows a thing or two about prepping her pout.
The 20-year-old actress — who plays Belly Conklin on the Prime Video series — broke down her “berry lip” makeup routine for Vogue’s “Beauty Secrets” series, citing Ilia’s Lip Wrap Reviving Balm ($24) among her everyday must-haves.
“It has this cooling effect … I love to hydrate my lips before I do a bold lip because I feel like it makes the application a lot easier,” she raved of the clean beauty buy, which is formulated with hyaluronic acid, pear oil and lavender.
She’s far from Ilia’s only famous fan; Kristin Cavallari and Gwyneth Paltrow have both name-dropped the Super Serum Skin Tint ($48) over the years, while Olivia Wilde loves the Limitless Lash Mascara ($28).
Tung is also on the same page as several stars about Westman Atelier — a favorite of Jennifer Aniston’s and Kate Hudson’s — as she said the brand’s Skin Activator Serum ($150) “saves the day” when she has “dry spots.”
“I really started learning how to take care of my skin correctly probably when I was filming Season 1 of ‘The Summer I Turned Pretty,’” she told the outlet, later adding that she’s “tried to curate a skincare routine and makeup routine that’s entirely cruelty free.”
As for what made the cut for her skincare standbys? The Good Molecules Niacinamide Brightening Toner ($14), Herbivore Pink Cloud Moisture Cream ($46), Cocokind Daily SPF ($25) — “I was always the kid that was like, ‘Did everybody apply their sunscreen?’” she said — and Live Tinted Rays Copper Eye Masks ($22).
“We got sent a bunch of them on set and we used them all the time … I love them so much that I bought them for my mom,” she said of the latter pick.
When it comes to makeup, Tung favors a fresh-faced look Belly would no doubt approve of, incorporating under-$10 finds like Elf Halo Glow Setting Powder ($8), NYX Lip Gloss ($5) and NYX Control Freak Eyebrow Gel ($7).
After all, while her character is famously torn between boys, Tung knows what she likes when it comes to beauty products.
The first three episodes of “The Summer I Turned Pretty” are now streaming on Prime Video, with one new episode dropping every Friday until August 18.
