If you had to ask us to name a makeup product we’d consider a holy grail item, it’s Chanel’s Les Beiges Healthy Glow Bronzing Cream. The lightweight, velvety bronzer gives the skin a glowy, sun-kissed appearance and is adored by beauty editors and influencers alike.
But despite its cult status, not everyone can afford its hefty price tag (it costs £43 here). Luckily, one TikToker claims she’s found a purse-friendly alternative for this bronzer that instead costs just £4. The video creator, who goes by the name of Beauty Glow Girl on the app, picked up the Primark Bronze Whip Cream Bronzer in her local store after hearing that it was trending with shoppers.
In the clip that’s been viewed by over 900K people, she says, “I heard this viral Chanel bronzer has a dupe, the Bronze Whip from Primark.”
With a price difference of a whopping £39, you’d be forgiven for doubting that the high street version lives up to its high end alternative – but think again. In the same video, Beauty Glow Girl puts both products to the test, applying one on each side of her face in a side-by-side comparison. The TikToker appears impressed with the results, claiming that she doesn’t see any difference between the two.
“They have the same finish, the same texture and the same wear time,” she explains.
And to prove that Primark Bronze Whip Cream Bronzer has the same long-lasting effect as the Chanel one, the user takes another video of her face later on in the day, adding, “This is six hours later.”
“It’s a dupe for me,” she adds.
As expected, the clip is now going viral on TikTok, with tons of users flocking to the comment section to share their thoughts on the high street swap.
One beauty fan writes: “It’s honestly amazing and my replacement to Chanel.”
“Primark one looks way better too,” another says, as a third adds: “Let’s run to Primark.”
“Got the Primark one already – brilliant,” a fourth user claims.
“I found this and I’ve been loving it,” another writes.
Well, we’re sold! To get radiant looking skin for less this summer, make sure to check out your local Primark store for this £4 “dupe”. Don’t wait around though, as according to users on TikTok, it’s already flying off the shelves – and we can see why.
