With Scotland and England making up the majority of the luckiest places to live in the top 10 results, Welsh town Newport snuck in at the very bottom of tenth place with 392 wins but 13,840 postcodes which brought the chances of winning down compared to the other winning towns and cities.

Swansea came in at position 11 with 655 wins, but with 23,288 postcodes within the Swansea area, residents in the area were far less likely to win.

Cardiff also suffered a similar fate with 650 wins and 23,342 postcodes, making it the 14th luckiest postcode area to live within.

Six of the unluckiest areas for wins came from London and while people in London still won the postcode lottery many times, the sheer number of postcodes in the area meant that statistically, you were far less likely to win if you lived here than other places in the country.

A spokesperson from casinos.win said: "It's interesting to see the places in the country that have won the most times but the best part about this study was reading the winner's stories."
