I won’t lie, when it’s time to purchase new bedding, I’m usually running to Target or Marshalls. Sure, it does the job fine, but I wouldn’t consider it luxurious. So when Peacock Alley offered to let me test some of their luxurious bedding, I obviously jumped at the chance. My mattress is only a few years old, but it isn’t as soft as I would prefer so I opted to test out Peacock Alley’s mattress topper along with their white goose down duvet and their white goose down pillows.

Let’s start with the mattress topper.

Peacock Alley Down Alternative Mattress Topper

If you’re allergic to traditional down bedding, this is a fantastic alternative. When I first opened the package, I was a little skeptical because it was thinner than I had envisioned but I put it on my bed a few hours before going to sleep and it actually puffed up quite a bit by nighttime. Despite my initial hesitation, I was blown away by the amount of cloud-like softness this topper added to my bed. I also live in Upstate, NY where the winters are frigid (to put it mildly) and I anticipate this keeping me much warmer during those chilly winter nights. On their website, Peacock Alley writes that this mattress topper “becomes loftier with each washing” so I’m excited to wash this a few times and see the difference.

Peacock Alley White Goose Down Duvet

OK, now when I say that this thing is fluffy, I need you to believe me. This comforter feels like sleeping under a warm and cozy cloud. I honestly can’t imagine a duvet insert feeling better than this one. All of this duvet’s magical floor comes from the finest European white goose down fill that is responsibly sourced, sterilized using the Ultra15 Clean process, and then wrapped in a 400 thread count cotton sateen down proofed cover. So yeah, it’s filled with the best of the best. While it is warm and fluffy, it’s not too hot and would be great on hot summer nights as well as cold winter nights.

Peacock Alley White Goose Down Pillow

Peacock Alley offers four different types of white goose down pillows: standard medium, standard firm, king medium and king form. I chose standard medium because I’ve never personally had a good experience with king-size pillows. While the pillows are incredible, don’t get me wrong, I do wish I had gone with the standard firm instead of the standard medium. I prefer a little more support in my pillows so if that sounds like you, I’d recommend going with the firm instead of the medium fill. But other than that, these pillows were everything I imagined them to be and more.
