Lash lifts are a great way to boost the appearance of your natural lashes and ideal for holidays, when you may prefer to go make-up free. Few would deny the impressive longer and fuller-looking results of a lift and curl, which can last for weeks or even months.
But if you’re time-poor, a lash lift can’t always be squeezed into your lunch hour as some treatments take up to 60 minutes – and that can be before you’ve thought about a tint, if your lashes aren’t naturally dark.
So when we heard about Elleebana’s Lash Lift, loved by celebs like Made In Chelsea stars Sophie Habboo and Ruby Adler and which claims to be the “world’s fastest” and can be done in as little as 20-30 minutes on its own, our ears pricked up a little.
There are two aspects of Elleebana 's treatments that the team says make it speedier. Firstly, the products used in both steps of the treatment require less time for the perming and setting of your lashes.
Secondly, the brand also recently launched its own "Flex Rods", which don't need to be glued to the eyelids, but are simply placed over them. This in turn means less time spent on both prep and product removal.
We knew we needed to see the time-saving results for ourselves, so beauty writer Lucy put them to the test.
Lucy says:
My natural lashes are an OK length but very fine and light, so anything that makes them actually visible is worth a go in my book. Because of their colour, when I booked in for Elleebana’s lift I also opted for a tint – something that would obviously add time to the overall treatment slot, but that allows me to appreciate the results.
The process was pretty fuss-free and my technician Tatiana did a lovely job. So, how quick was it in the end, I hear you ask?
If I hadn’t had a tint, I would have been finished within 40 minutes, though it’s worth pointing out that some time was spent readjusting the pads as I have quite twitchy eyes, which would have held the process up a bit. Had this not happened, it probably would have been more like 30 minutes for me, and including the tint the entire appointment was over in under an hour.
This is still considerably quicker than the treatment I had a few years ago, which took closer to an hour without any tint. If, like me, you sometimes feel a bit claustrophobic if you think about not being able to open your eyes for too long, any time saved is only a good thing.
Most importantly I love the results, which mean my natural lashes are now 1) actually visible, and 2) lifted and longer-looking. Hats off to Tatiana.
Elleebana’s lash lift can last for up to eight weeks, which will more than see them through my upcoming holiday. Definitely worth the (shorter amount of) time!
