Yellowstone mini series in Australia: I put my Adelaide home up for sale and within hours Netflix was on the phone making a very tempting offer
- An Australian home on the market for $1.1m sparked the interest of Netflix for new mini-series
- Harris real estate agent Hayley Staltari received a call a few hours after listing the property
- The exposed brown brick and overall style of the home is what caught the streaming giant’s attention
A homeowner couldn’t believe his luck after finding out his humble Australian exposed brick house could soon be featured in a new Netflix mini-series inspired by the hit western drama Yellowstone.
The single-storey property located in West Lakes, 30 minutes north-west of Adelaide, captured the attention of the streaming giant shortly after it was put up for sale last week.
Harris real estate agent Hayley Staltari told FEMAIL she received a call from the Netflix team on Friday a few hours after listing the property. They expressed interest in leasing the home for six or seven days in October.
They would pay as much as $1,700 per day to film in the home for that period and it would to go to the new owner before they moved in.
‘It was a complete shock – I called the seller immediately and said, “You’re not going to believe this”,’ she recalled.
The mini series is expected to be partially filmed in Adelaide from October to November after a stint in the Northern Territory.
Ms Staltari said the exposed brown brick, single-storey layout and overall style of the home is what sparked the interest from Netflix as they were looking for a location to suit the ‘western’ style of the show.

With an asking price of $1.1million, the three-bedroom home at 13 Liberman Court sits on 846sqm and is the biggest block in the street. It’s located in a quiet area within Delfin Island and is in walking distance to a nearby lake. The beach is also nearby.
It’s also adjacent to two of West Lakes most expensive homes ever sold – with one selling for $3million and the other for $4.45million.
The unique opportunity will not only showcase the gorgeous area but prospective buyers will have the chance to receive extra cash prior to moving in – while also being apart of cinematic history.
Ms Staltari believes this is a ‘good thing’ to market the property further and gain interest from other buyers.
‘They’ll film in the Northern Territory for three weeks before making their way to Adelaide. It’s very exciting,’ she said.
The seller – who wishes to remain anonymous – told FEMAIL he was ‘shocked’ after receiving the news from Ms Staltari.
‘I never expected this at all but am thrilled. It’s pretty freaky and amazing how much interest it’s had,’ he said. The father-of-two and his family lived in the home for 13 years before deciding to sell.
