Woman gives birth in ’20 minutes with 4 pushes’ and believes drinking tea helped

A woman claimed to give birth in just 20 minutes thanks to a particular fruity tea.

Agonising tales of labour are not uncommon to hear, with some women enduring pain for hours on end.

But for new mum Libby, she supposedly found a hack that made the process to be over in a matter of minutes.

The fitness enthusiast, who posts to TikTok as @libbylifestyle, achieved viral status thanks to her nifty birthing trick.

In a series of clips that have collectively gained millions of views, Libby documented the very intimate moment for all to see.

As she knelt on her hands and knees on the hospital bed, a nurse calmly wheeled her through the corridor to a private room.

Libby then revealed her secret to a quick birth, she wrote: "When you drank raspberry leaf tea, dilated to 10cm, went into labour, had no time to take your dress off and had your baby in 20 minutes."

Apparently, it only took "around four pushes" for the influencer to give birth to her little tot.

However, that does not mean that she had a pain free ride.

Libby admitted that the pain was "crazy" despite only having a short time between drinking the tea and birthing her child.

"I nearly gave birth at home", she admitted in the caption.

Shocked at the speedy birth, many people fled to the comments to share their thoughts – and some could even relate.

One person chuckled: "Raspberry tea seems like an eject button."

Another user joked: "My best mate ended up catching my little girl."

While a third person related: "Raspberry Leaf tea does wonders!! I was in labour for only six hours. I dilated so fast too."

Someone else giggled: "20 mins?! That baby had places to go."

However, this woman did not have much luck with raspberry tea herself.

The woman said: "Girl I drank raspberry leaf tea my whole pregnancy and was in labour for 4 days, 3 cm dilated, emergency C-section. You are a lucky one."

But, does raspberry tea actually work?

According to Health Line: "Red raspberry leaf tea may strengthen the uterine walls and decrease labour time in pregnant woman and relieve premenstrual symptoms in women in general.

"For most people, it appears to be safe to drink 1–3 cups per day, though intake should be limited to 1 cup during early pregnancy.

"While more research needs to be done to fully understand all of red raspberry leaf tea’s positive attributes, it appears to be safe for most."

Who would have thought a cuppa could work wonders!
