A woman has delighted some TikTok users by sharing how she keeps her swimming pool in the front garden for all the children on her council estate to use – while others have claimed the set-up is ‘grim’.

UK-based Jackie Bielby decided to place the 6ft pool in front of her home rather than in her private back garden and shared a video to the social media platform showcasing her handiwork.

However, her choice divided opinion online – with some saying they loved seeing the community spirit, while others suggested they wouldn’t want to be her neighbour.

‘This is what you call a council estate pool’, Jackie said in the video she posted to TikTok. ‘When you have it on the front, for all the kids.’

In the clip, the pool can be seen on the porch area of the property, next to a glass outdoor table.

The caption over the top of the video read ‘Chavs’ alongside the emoji of a monkey covering its eyes.

She received mixed responses to her footage in the comment section, with some criticising the set-up, while others were pleased to see the community coming together.

However, others were full of praise, with one saying: ‘I still do it if I put a pool out. All kids are welcome, not everyone can afford a pool, it’s called sharing.’

‘Grim,’ one individual simply wrote, while another said: ‘Bro imagine living next door to you, where you can’t even enjoy the sun in peace.’
