From trying to stay warm throughout the day to being careful not to slip, ice and frosty weather conditions can pose numerous irritating issues, ad there's one that most drivers will definitely agree is annoying – having to defrost your car.

Heading out to work to find your car completely covered in ice can prove annoying on the best of days and over the years dozens of hacks and tips have been given to try and solve the issue quicker.

Now, one TikTok user has shared a very easy and convenient trick to help clear your car windscreen, and it doesn't even require you to purchase anything.

Sara Deutsch, who goes by the username @saradeutsch, shared her tip on TikTok, leaving many social media users speechless. She revealed that by using your car's sun visor, you can help speed up the defrosting process.

Sara shared a clip of her own frosted windscreen, alongside the caption: "Teen drivers need to know this! Frozen windshield are about to be a thing with all the cold and snow."

She then explained: "So, I do this video every year. If you have a windshield that is frosted over – make sure to put your visors down, so it stops the airflow and it creates a faster defrost on your windshield.

"If you ever have a sheet of ice on your car or when it's frosted – put the [sun visor] down. Otherwise, you can feel the air come straight up over it."

TikTok users couldn't believe how simple the hack is, with one saying: "I'm sorry a teen driver… I just learned this at 32 lol," while a second penned: "That's actually pretty smart."

"I'm 40! I didn't know that!" a third person said and a fourth added: "36. news to me. I've been using washer fluid." A fifth said: "awesome trick!"

Others shared their own tips, with one person saying: "I use the washer fluid and turn on the wipes if it's not too cold. It goes away right away."

A second TikTok user commented: "cold water with wipes on takes 10 seconds".
